Titan Wrestling...building a Legacy....

This is the official web site of the Frisco Centennial High School Wrestling Team.

Centennial High School was established in August 2003 and started with only 9th and 10th grade students, yet the Titan Wrestling Program was one of the few sports to compete at a Varsity level for the 2003-2004 year. Centennial had two female State Alternates by the end of the season.

For the 2nd year of 2004-2005, Centennial added the 11th grade class. Likewise, the Titan Wrestling Program grew, under the leadership of Head Coach Mike Eaton, and Assistant Coaches Lute Croy and Chris King.  The 2004-2005 Season Highlights included the qualification of 7 wrestlers to compete in the U.I.L. State Tournament , with one State Placement!  Additionally, the  Lady Titans Wrestling Team were the 2004-2005 District IX Champions & Region II Champions!  The accomplishments during the season were phenomenal considering most of the Titan wrestlers were either first or second year wrestlers.

The season ended with the announcement from the Dallas Morning News that Head Coach, Mike Eaton, earned the "Collin County Coach of the Year" which was well deserved with the countless personal hours invested in the high school team, not to mention his two community teams--the Frisco Bombers Youth Wrestling Team & Team Titan Wrestling Team (Freestyle & Greco). His dedication and love for the sport is very obvious to others! He continues to grow the sport and ultimately turn out champions in just about every program he is involved with throughout the years!

The 2005-2006 school year is a historical and record making wrestling year for Centennial and Frisco ISD.  Centennial broke their own record set last year by sending a total of 9 wrestlers to the U.I.L. State Tournament (3 Men & 6 Women), returning home with a district all time high record of 4 State Medals from 1st to 5th Place.  The Titan Men's Team set a record by sending the most men to the State Tournament to compete.  Likewise, the Titan Men earned the first male wrestling medalist in the school and district's history.  The Lady Titans set a new record with the most female medallist as well as earning the first Championship Title.

The 2006-2007 season produced 7 State Qualifiers and one alternate comprised of two men and six women. Once again, the Titans brought home medalist.  On the men's side, a bronze medal was earned and on the women's side, two gold medals.  The women's team brought home the Team State Runner-Up Title setting a new "first ever" record in Frisco ISD history of wrestling.

The 2007-2008 season produced 4 State Qualifiers and 2 State Alternates comprised of 2 men and 2 women who competed at State. On the men's side, Cody Curtiss placed 5th and set history for CHS as well as Frisco ISD as the first underclassmen to place at State!  On the women's side, Neda Hassani had a top 8 finish at 95lbs which was great for her first trip to Austin.  Emily Martin earned the title of 2x State Champion and was awarded the prestigious Texas Most Outstanding Wrestler Award

The Titan Team will continue to prosper in the coming year, so check back for the highlights!

The purpose of this web site is to provide information to parents, students, faculty, staff and community members. We welcome anyone interested to join the Titans, as they begin a new tradition in Frisco.
